Copy of the check used to buy a firearm
Explanation: Hockman moved her money to a new bank and set up a new account on July 22, 2008, under the name Donna Reedy Hockman because she discovered that Stanley was siphoning money out of her account by stealing her bank debit card. Hockman confronted Stanley on July 21, 2008, and ended her relationship with him on July 23, 2008, as she was no longer able to tolerate lying, stealing, and physical abuse. Hockman wrote a check for the firearm in the amount of $310.66 on July 24, 2008. Hockman used her old address as her driver’s license was to expire on August 26, 2008. She gave the clerk her cell number and SSN (blacked out) in the memo section on the check.
Theory/Fact of Document: This issue never came up at Hockman’s trial, but that didn’t stop Marsha Garst from making public statements to the media that Hockman used a “fake name” despite her driver’s license clearly showing her so-called fake name Reedy which is her maiden name. Marsha Garst also stated that Hockman wrote the check on a closed account.
Note: Bank account opened on June 22, 2008, check written on July 24, 2008, and deposited on July 25, 2008 (the day of the shooting). Once an account has been seized by a criminal investigation it is a policy that the bank has the authority to close it. Marsha Garst lied to the media to attempt to show that Hockman wrote a check on a closed account in an attempt to destroy her character and prove intent. Now, you know the truth.

Email between Smith and Hockman
Explanation: The email printed out on July 31, 2008, is between Hockman and her supervisor/friend Jeff Smith dated June 22, 2008 (the day after Hockman called for 911 for help after Stanley lurked in the dark awaiting her return the night before she was held captive. The message clearly shows Hockman feeling helpless only one month before the shooting occurred.
Theory/Fact of Document: This document should have been shown to the jury so they would know her state of mind a month before and see she was on a downward spiral as a result of physical and mental abuse at the hands of Dustin Stanley. She was heading for a mental breakdown, reaching out for help.

Exhibit 78 and Exhibit 81 – Brian Heister Testimony, Criminal Record, and News Articles
Explanation: Brian Heister was a witness for Marsha Garst who took the stand to say that he met Hockman for the first time the night before Stanley’s demise. (Hockman was coerced and threatened by Stanley to transport him and his younger brother to Heister’s home despite Hockman finally ending her relationship with Stanley on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, and dropping all of his belongings off at his mother’s residence.) Throughout Heister’s trial testimony he says nothing of evidentiary value.
Exhibit 181 contains photocopies of articles published in the Northern Virginia Daily newspaper located in Woodstock, Virginia. The article dated October 9, 2009 (six months after Hockman’s conviction) shows in the highlighted areas that Heister admits to being a known “mushroom dealer”. It further states that Judge Hupp elected to sentence Heister to only one year in jail for his cooperation in a case against another dealer and for testifying against Hockman.

Exhibit 159 – Letter to American Bar Association
Explanation: Hockman appealed to the American Bar Association about the misconduct of Marsha Garst when the state bar refused to investigate.

Exhibit 99 and Exhibit 183 – IB Report and Shifflett Statement
Explanation: This IB report was generated on the day of Hockman’s arrest and shows at the arrow that Marsha Garst’s investigators had knowledge on July 25, 2008, that Hockman’s cell phone provider was Sprint. Yet maintained during the investigation and even testifying at trial that saved voicemails had been purged by Sprint because they didn’t realize Hockman’s cell provider was Sprint. Shifflett’s statement (Exhibit 183) shows that there is a possibility that Hockman’s attorney may have recently re-saved her voicemails. It further states Captain Whittig “recently found out that Ms. Hockman’s cell phone number was registered with Sprint instead of Ntelos, as he had been previously informed.”
Theory/Fact of Document: Why would investigators want to lie at Hockman’s trial about not being able to retrieve her voicemails, by maintaining that they hadn’t known that her cell phone provider was Sprint? To cover up the fact that they knew Hockman had numerous voicemails left by Stanley threatening her and her loved ones, and playing those for a jury would have corroborated what Hockman endured throughout her relationship with Stanley. By stating on August 29, 2008 (Exhibit 183) that Hockman’s attorney may have retrieved voicemails clearly shows they had the knowledge they existed and would have aided in the truth coming out at trial.

Explanation: These notes show the lengths that jailors including Deputy Powers are willing to go to taint evidence.

Exhibit 120 – Email sent to old Commonwealth Coverup Website
Explanation: This email was sent to the old Commonwealth Coverup site in 2011. Hockman’s son forwarded it to her. Just one more witness to come forward and say that the 6 inmates housed in the jail with Hockman lied against her.

Exhibit 95 – Auto Body Invoice
Explanation: This invoice shows work that was done on Hockman’s vehicle a week before the shooting. The work done on the vehicle was from damage that Stanley had caused. When Hockman picked the vehicle up on July 22, 2008 (3 days before the shooting) she had noticed a repair was not completed and set an appointment to bring the vehicle back on the morning of July 25, 2008 (the day of the shooting).
Theory/Fact of Document: Marsha Garst led the media to believe that Hockman went to a car rental business (across the street from the body shop) on July 25, 2008, to rent a car and escape detection of the shooting and flee. Marsha Garst knew on July 27, 2008 (two days after the shooting) when she received a copy of this invoice by fax and during interviewing the owner of the body shop that Hockman had a scheduled appointment with him on the morning of July 25, 2008 and that picking up a rental car had also been arranged by the body shop. Yet Marsha Garst lied to the media namely Pete Delea of the DNR and at trial.

Exhibit 173 – Letter to Sheriff Hess
Explanation: Sheriff Hess of Rockingham County, VA denied Hockman documents about her case under the Freedom of Information Act and Hockman appealed to him expressing she had every right to receive these documents.

Captain Wittig – July 25, 2008
Explanation: Information was provided to Captain Wittig on July 25, 2008, that was documented on Brandon Harter and David George (Hockman’s son’s father).
Next, Brandon explains he had called Donna’s ex-husband who is a police officer and has a daughter with Donna Hockman. The ex-husband never returns messages left on his cell phone.
It is no wonder Hockman didn’t trust the police to help as her ex-husband never intervened to protect his daughter he shared with Donna.
David George stating to Captain Wittig that a son he shared with Donna only told him that Dustin Stanley is “not a nice person” and used “loud words” which was far from what Donna’s son told him. He simply did not want to be involved. As of 2015 David George is running for Clerk of the Circuit Court and lies to the media stating that he has a wife and two young children not even acknowledging he has an older son with Donna. Would you want to elect a man as Clerk of the Circuit Court who can’t be honest about having an older son?
